Powerful Documentary on Sexual Abuse Coming to TV
On April 22 at 11 pm et/pt, Lifetime Television will hold the television premiere of the documentary “Searching for Angela Shelton.” The film showcases Angela’s journey across America to find women with her same name, and her discovery that more than half of the Angela Shelton’s she met had been raped, abused or molested–and her hopeful and inspiring message of courage, strength and survival. Branches and members may consider holding a viewing party to watch the movie and then discuss ways to take action in your communities. AAUW honored Lifetime Television with the first AAUW National Media Award at the National Convention in June 2005.
