An article in the News and Observer on August 30 in Section B, page 1 is about the changes that will occur at UNC Health Care as a result of a petition signed by 1100 people. If you attended the July AAUWNC meeting, you were probably one of those people. The article stated that UNC leaders pledged that the health care system won’t turn away from its longstanding commitment to treat all North Carolinians regardless of their ability to pay. The article hightlights upcoming changes. Erskine Bowles, UNC President, said, “The key now is implementaion.
