Followup to Women’s Advocacy Day

  • by

Did you miss the May 22 Women’s Advocacy Day in Raleigh? Well, it was a wonderful event, but (surprise, surprise!) the one day effort didn’t solve all the problems!

If you’d like to be part of the group supporting legislation to improve life in NC for women and their families, you’ll find a set of tools to get you started at www.ncwu.org. In particular, you’ll find

  • A list of key bills that have been under consideration, along with position papers on many of them.
  • Links to the General Assembly information on how to contact your legislators and how to find out how they’ve voted
  • Tips on writing and/or visiting your legislators.

See also the list of bills AAUW NC thinks are important.

If there are other bills that you think are important and should be considered by other AAUW NC members, feel free to add a comment to this post.
