AAUW NC has been awarded a Public Policy Impact Grant that will be used in collaboration with NC Action for Children to work with local colleges to plan programs around the Action for Children’s Young Advocates Toolkit. The goal of the project is to empower the students by learning advocacy skills and building leadership, and through this project AAUW NC will strengthen its ties to the campuses.
Here are the slides that accompanied the discussion of the Young Advocates Toolkit project. Branch presidents will receive more information about the toolkits by early August. Please contact Mary, Sheila or Nancy for information about a teleconference to answer questions about the presentation and to share the information about the project with those who weren’t in Gastonia.
