Grant Funding Available: AAUW Public Policy Impact Grants

North Carolina has been selected by AAUW as one of 15 states chosen to apply for a 2009-10 Public Policy Impact Grant.  Applying for the grant is by invitation only.  Nine of these states will be chosen for grants of approximately $900 each to build the capacity within the recipient states to organize grassroots advocacy on AAUW public policy priorities. The grants can be used for lobbying efforts, voter education programs and voter turnout activities. The deadline for submitting grant applications is April 30, 2009.  For more information about the grant process, please contact Elaine Ostrowski, (336) 292 2690, etostrowski@earthlink.net.
