Half the Sky Live: March 4

On Tuesday, March 4, groups across the country will commemorate International Women’s Day by gathering in theaters to watch Half the Sky Live.

a one night event inspired by stories from the New York Times bestseller “Half the Sky” by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn.  … Featuring musical performances, celebrity commentary and the world premiere of “Woineshet,” a short film by Academy Award® winner Marisa Tomei and Lisa Leone.

Last year a group from the Raleigh/Wake County branch met for dinner and the showing of A Powerful Noise, and all thought the experience was worthwhile.
