AAUW has had a communication from Mike Harney, Senator Hagan’s Legislative Director that says:
Senator Hagan has decided to cosponsor the Paycheck Fairness Act. Unfortunately we did not get the cosponsorship in before the Senate went into recess, and senators are not able to officially cosponsor legislation while the Senate is in recess. As soon as we return from recess her cosponsorship will be reflected in the official record. Of course she looks forward to voting for the bill as well when it is considered upon the Senate’s return.
This is great news! Please do let her know that you appreciate her support of this important bill and will be tracking progress on the vote after the Senate returns from recess.
Take action to urge the Senate to pass the PFA before the end of 2010:

Unfortunately, today the Senate voted 58-41 and failed to get the 60 votes needed to stop a filibuster — so PFA will need to start all over again in some future session of Congress.
