Jacksonville Regional Branch August 2011 Newsletter

President’s Message

Greetings! I hope this finds everyone recuperated, healthy, and looking forward to slightly cooler weather!

Connie and I met two weeks ago to plot out a tentative program schedule for the coming year. We are still planning to meet the fourth Monday of each month at 3:30 p.m. As we get into September, the location for our first meeting will be announced in the newsletter.

The State board of AAUW is planning cluster meetings during the month of September. The primary focus of the meetings will be public policy. Mary Peterson, Twin Rivers Branch, is the co-ordinator for the meeting in our area. The date is September 17. As branch president, I plan to attend. Any other member who would like to attend is welcome. I do not have the specifics on location or cost, but I anticipate that the meeting will start between 9 and 10 in the morning and end between 1 and 2 in the afternoon. Please look at your calendars and let me know if you are interested.

See you in September!

– JoAnn Hall
