An intentionally small group of members gathered to host five of the 13 AAUW fellows and grantees with ties to the state on Sunday afternoon, October 23 at the Chapel Hill home of Michele Hoyman.
This was the first time AAUW NC had facilitated an event that was primarily aimed at having the fellows meet each other and celebrate their awards.
It was a collaborative effort by members of the Tar Heel Branch and the branches in Chapel Hill, Raleigh/Wake County, and Greensboro. It was hosted by Chapel Hill member Michele Hoyman, herself a former American Fellow.
