The members and branches of AAUW of North Carolina are generous in their support of the philanthropic programs of AAUW.
In calendar year 2013 we contributed $24,773 to AAUW, $27/member. The state donations by area were:
- $9,514 to the Educational Opportunities Fund for fellowships and grants
- Of that, $5,690 was directed to the Ann Chipley American Fellowship endowment
- $4,591 in unrestricted gifts to support national programs
- $3,773 to the Legal Advocacy Fund for legal case support, travel grants, and campus outreach programs
- $3,779 to the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund to support AAUW’s gender equity research
- $2,715 to the Leadership Fund, supporting the annual student conference and other campus-based leadership projects
- $811 to the Public Policy fund supporting government relations, civic engagement, and field organizing
