The meeting will take place at the Swansboro Town Hall, 502 Church Street, Swansboro. We are eager to hear Nancy give the latest update on AAUW issues and a peek at the state convention in April.

PRESIDENTS’ MESSAGE: We are kicking off the New Year with a very exciting program. In keeping with AAUW’s “Women in Technology” focus, our January program is a two-parter. On January 22 at 6:30 p.m. we will meet in Classroom #104, Building AS-320, New River Air Station, to hear Sue Currie, Flight Simulator Technician, tell about her work and how she got there. On Friday, January 26 from 2-4:00 p.m. we will have the opportunity to “fly” the simulator. See below for more details.

Greetings! Convention was a huge hit! I heard lots of positive comments from the attendees. The ladies in New Bern did a wonderful job with the accommodations, the goodie bags,the table decorations and all of the other preparations. Thanks also to each of you for your contributions to the success of the event. I would like to specifically acknowledge Katharyn Thayer, our Convention Treasurer, for the excellent job that she did.
