AAUW NC is planning to be present with an exhibit table to showcase our organization to women from across North Carolina. Early registration for this conference is due on August 15 August 31, so if you are planning to attend and wish to save some money, sign up now!
Women of worldwide prominence will be participating as speakers or honorary chairs, and there is an exciting program in store. This conference is an excellent opportunity to learn about various issues of importance to women as well as to build our networks.
Also, the AAUW NC Fall Conference will be held on the Friday-Saturday following the conference in Statesville, and Statesville Branch is making arrangements to secure hotel rooms at the board meeting rates for Thursday as well if people are interested in staying in the area after the Oct. 19 conference. Marty Folsom will have more information about that in the next edition of “The Tarheel News”.
